About
We built a room and then got out of the way.
Reverie Studio is a cyclorama studio in BNR Hills, Hyderabad. It exists because there was nowhere in the city to make quiet, careful work at scale without renting a warehouse and building the cove yourself.
Hyderabad has never been short of talent or of cameras. What it was short of was a room — somewhere with enough height to light a full-length shot properly, enough width to move, and a wall that does not put a corner through the middle of the frame.
So we found a building with a skylight running the length of its roof, and built the largest cyclorama in the city underneath it. Sixteen feet to the grid, twenty-five across, coved at three corners. Then we painted it white and left it alone.
Six days a week it is a rental studio, and increasingly a production company around that. On the seventh we programme it ourselves: a long film with an interval and an argument afterwards, four people talking honestly about something difficult, a day of free portraits for people building a first portfolio.
The two halves are not separate businesses. The commercial work is what makes the Sunday programme possible, and the Sunday programme is most of the reason anybody knows the room exists.
How we work
Four things we do not negotiate on.
One production at a time
The floor is never shared and never double-booked. Whatever you are making gets the whole room and the whole day, which is the only way anything unhurried gets made.
The room stays empty
No house style, no permanent set, no branding on the wall. Everything here is removable so that what ends up in your frame is only ever yours.
Say the real number
Rates are on the site. Add-ons are priced. If something will cost more, we say so before you book rather than after you have wrapped.
Programme what nobody else will
Long films, quiet talks, portfolio days for people who cannot yet afford a day rate. The commercial work pays for that on purpose.
A blank space, waiting for your story.
An intimate studio for fashion, art, slow cinema & honest conversations. Built for storytellers.
