A three-part hands-on masterclass taking you from lighting setups on the cove through Capture One color grading to final retouching in Photoshop.
Great commercial and editorial portraiture is not an accident of the shoot—it is an unbroken chain of precision from the light stand to the color curve. This intensive workshop walks you through the entire three-stage pipeline alongside photographer Ishan Giri.
Part 1 — Lighting & Capture: Learn how to shape light on the cyclorama. We will break down key light ratios, fill, negative fill, and cove bounce, followed by guided hands-on shooting on the floor with live models.
Part 2 — Capture One Grading: Tethered workflow, color correction, and making critical adjustments. You will learn how to balance skin tones and prepare clean, optimized files ready for round-tripping into Photoshop.
Part 3 — Photoshop Retouching: High-end commercial retouching techniques without plastic textures. Work directly with Ishan to frequency separate, dodge and burn, and finish images to editorial publication standards.
